German Intensive B1 - In-Person & Online Learning - Dec 7, 2026
The B1 intensive course is designed for adults with solid A2 proficiency who want to quickly and effectively advance their German to the B1 level. The course combines in-person instruction with structured digital self-study and is also suitable as preparation for further language or professional qualifications.
The course includes 160 teaching units of in-person instruction and 64 units of structured self-study, totaling 224 teaching units. The duration is approximately two months. In-person classes and digital learning phases are systematically integrated. The self-study phase is used to review, deepen, and apply the content covered in class.
A solid command of German at the A2 level is required. This must be verified by a current A2 certificate, ideally no older than six months, or by taking the SP Akademie online placement test. This ensures that the B1 intensive course is the right linguistic fit for you.
The course concludes with an internal assessment of the learning progress achieved. An external language exam is not automatically included in the basic course. Depending on your individual goals, you can subsequently choose appropriate exams, exam preparation, or further language courses.
Training covers speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary, and grammar at the B1 level. Instruction is supplemented by structured self-study phases. Using textbooks, e-books, and the Digital Academy, participants independently review and reinforce the material while simultaneously developing their digital learning skills.
Registration is handled directly through the SP Akademie. Before the course begins, we verify that the language requirements are met. Information regarding the course start date, class times, availability, and fees will be provided during the registration process. Additional modules may be offered depending on the target group.
